Overview
Most productivity apps demand your attention. Thankful asks for something smaller, just a few words, once a day. We designed an iOS gratitude journal that turns each entry into a beautiful, shareable card, making the practice of noticing feel worth returning to.

The challenge
Gratitude apps tend to feel clinical or gamified, checklists dressed up as wellness. The brief was to design something genuinely calm and considered: an app people would want to open not because it nagged them, but because it felt good to be in.

What we did
We designed the full iOS experience from onboarding to daily habit. A warm, minimal UI built around a single interaction: write what you're grateful for, choose a card colour, and watch your words become something worth keeping.
Each entry generates a card designed to look beautiful at full bleed, and sized perfectly for Instagram. Sharing a moment of gratitude takes one tap, and the result looks considered rather than like a screenshot. That's a deliberate product decision: the card is the thing, not a byproduct of it.

What we did
The colour system, eight tones from coral to forest green, gives every entry a personality and makes the journal feel alive as it grows. A ghosted "t" letter form anchors each card with quiet brand craft. Typography is set in a refined serif throughout, lending the whole app the weight of something that matters.
Streak tracking is present but never pushy. It rewards consistency without making the app feel like a game, which is harder to design than it sounds.
