Overview
RentAbout is a peer-to-peer platform that allows users to rent out under-utilised items and borrow equipment from others when needed. The platform promotes smarter consumption by encouraging sharing over ownership.
Our team led a complete redesign — from visual identity (logo, typography, colour palette) to UX enhancements across the core user flows. The main goal was to simplify how people list and rent items, making the experience intuitive, trustworthy, and community-driven.
Through improved navigation, clearer CTAs, and a friendlier aesthetic, we helped RentAbout better communicate its values: income generation, cost efficiency, community support, and sustainability.

Opportunity
RentAbout’s original branding lacked clarity and didn’t reflect the platform’s purpose or values, making it hard to build trust and stand out in a competitive market.
Solution
We developed a fresh visual identity starting with a new logo: three curved lines forming a connected, cocntinuous loop to symbolise movement, sharing, and circularity. Alongside the icon, we introduced a clean sans-serif wordmark and a flexible color system to bring warmth and clarity across the product. The brand guidelines set clear rules for usage, ensuring consistency across digital and social touchpoints. The result is a modern, recognisable identity that speaks to users and reinforces the mission behind the platform.

Opportunity
RentAbout serves two very different user groups: those who want to earn by listing items, and those who want to rent affordably. The original experience treated all users the same, which made messaging unclear and weakened engagement on both sides.
Solution
We designed two tailored landing pages — one for hosts and one for renters — each focused on their specific goals and motivations. The host page highlights how to turn unused items into income, while the renter page focuses on ease, affordability, and access. This split experience created a more personal and relevant journey, improving clarity, trust, and conversion for both types of users.

The original booking flow felt fragmented, with unclear pricing, limited product detail, and no real sense of trust or urgency to rent. Users struggled to navigate listings, compare options, or confidently complete a booking — especially on mobile.
Solution
We redesigned the end-to-end rental journey to be clear, trustworthy, and conversion-friendly. Users can now browse filtered listings with helpful tags (e.g. “Popular,” “New”), view clean, image-forward product pages, and select rental dates with an intuitive calendar picker. Clear pricing, guarantees, and host response rates build confidence, while the layout guides users smoothly from search to checkout — increasing transparency and ease at every step.
